Carcasonne

This is a walled city called Carcasonne.  It is a medieval castle. It is over 2,500 years old.  It was like a playground because there little staircases to higher walkways. The streets were made of stone.

This the castle at night. The things that look like torches are lights. They light the castle at night!

This is another picture of a gaurd tower!

This is me looking through a slit in the wall.

This is the inside how I thought it looked a long time ago.

This is me aiming a crossbow out of the slit! I got it at a shop inside the walled city. The shop had a lot of other knight stuff (not real)!

This is a lock for boats, it was very cool! How it works is the boat goes in, a dam closes, the water fills the lock up, the boat rises and the dam in the front opens up. The boat goes out.

This is a bullet train. It is called a bullet train because they go really fast. The fastest one we went on was 320km/hr. The nose is shaped how it is to make the train aerodynamic, to help it go fast. When it is going that fast, it was very smooth. At that speed when I looked out the window everythihg is whooshing by and looks like streaks.

Paris, France

Now we are in Paris France!!! We first visited the Lourve museum.  We saw the Mona Lisa, the most famous painting in the world.  I really liked sculpture called Psyche and Cupid. The picture below is two pyramids. The glass one went out of the building.

This is looking up from inside.

These are minions!!! they are my favorite characters

This is the Eiffel Tower.  We climbed up as far as we could on the stairs.  I was really scared.  The tower  is only straight lines, but somehow Eiffel made it into a curve. He made it for the World Fair.
